General enquiries

Please contact Pete Lowry (pete.lowry@mobot.org).

Registration

The registration fee is €60.00 ($US 75.00) for the 2-day symposium (plus an evening event on the Sunday before the start of the symposium). We have tried to keep the fee as low as possible to encourage maximum attendance.

The registration fee covers coffee breaks and lunch both days, and a pre-symposium social event on the evening of July 24. Your registration must be made no later than May 15, 2005 (no late registrations, please!).

Abstracts

You are invited to submit one or more abstracts for talks and/or posters that you would like to present at the symposium in Vienna. The emphasis of the symposium will be on systematics (including taxonomy, phylogeny, biogeography, floristics, comparative or developmental anatomy/morphology, etc.). Depending on the number of abstracts received, we may also be able to accommodate a limited number of presentations on subjects such as ecology, pharmaceutical and natural products research.

Since there will be a limited number of openings for oral presentations during the two days, we may not be able to accommodate all requests, although we will do our very best to try. If we do have to request that you present a poster rather than a talk, we will let you know as soon as possible.

Abstracts should be no more than 1500 characters long (including spaces, but excluding the title, names of authors, and addresses). Please provide full addresses (including e-mail) for all authors, and underline the name of the presenting author. Indicate whether each abstract is for a talk or a poster. Abstract are due no later than May 15, 2005. They should be sent by e-mail to Greg Plunkett (gmplunke@saturn.vcu.edu) who is coordinating abstracts and scheduling.

Symposium Dinner

We now have final confirmation on the Symposium Dinner, which will cost €35.00 per person.

Payment

It will be easiest simply to pay your registration fee in cash at the symposium, either on Sunday evening (if you will be joining us for the social event) or on Monday morning (when the symposium starts). That will avoid bank fees and other unnecessary expenses. There is no need to pay in advance.

Post-Symposium Excursion

Please contact Jean-Pierre Reduron (jean-pierre.reduron@ville-mulhouse.fr) for further details.
