Personal Details

Status: Professional

Workgroup: Umbelliferae Systematics (Head)

Personal Profile
Since staring work on the Umbelliferae for the Flora of Bhutan project in 1992, I have extended my floristic research eastwards into China. At present I have a major involvement in the Flora of China project as western co-ordinator and co-author for the Umbelliferae, and sit on the Editorial Committee. Alongside this floristic research I supervise several student monographic projects, notably in the genera Apium, Sium, Cortia (and allies), Pimpinella (Arabian), Acronema (and allies), Aciphylla and the endemics of Socotra. I am in the process of constructing a personal home page, but in the meantime see the pages on the RBGE website on Flora of China, Flora of Bhutan, The World Umbellifer Database, and Umbelliferae Research at RBGE for more information.
