Personal Details Status: ProfessionalPersonal Profile James Affolter's main research interests re. Apiaceae include revisionary and floristic studies, particularly involving Latin American taxa and the flora of the southeastern US. My general research and teaching interests include rare plant conservation and medicinal plants, so I am also interested in these topics as they intersect the Apiaceae. The molecular work I have done so far involves patterns of allozyme diversity in rare plants (genus Spigelia in the Loganiaceae). He is involved in the Apiaceae treatment for the Flora of North America and Flora Neotropica.
