Personal Details Status: StudentWorkgroup: Biocomputing Research UnitPersonal Profile I am undertaking a joint Ph.D. (started 1995) with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and the University of Edinburgh on "Monographic and Evolutionary Studies in the Genus Sium, with particular reference to the giant Sium species of St Helena. I am very interested in computer data analysis programming for phylogenetic datasets, and have been investigating novel methods of tree optimization using simulated annealing.
