DescriptionTerrestrial. Rhizome short, creeping to ascending; scales linear-lanceolate, gradually narrowing towards the tailed apex, up to 12 by 1.2 mm, entire. Stipes purplish when young, stramineous to pale brown, up to 60 cm long, broadened near scaly base. Laminae imparipinnate, oblong in outline, about 60 by 35 cm; pinnae linear, acuminate at apex, truncate to auricled at acroscopic and cuneate at basiscopic bases, shallowly lobed at margin, up to 20 by 1.3–1.7 cm, the soriferous pinnae usually narrower; lobes triangular, with sharp teeth at apex; papyraceous, green, paler beneath; rachis and costa glabrous or with linear scales; veins pinnate, the veinlets simple, all except the basal pairs reaching the margin of lobes. Sori dorsal on veinlets, costular, with small round-reniform indusia lacerate at margin . Distribution in ThailandNORTHERN: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun. Wider DistributionNepal, Assain, Upper Burma, and SW China. EcologyOn rather dry mountain slopes in mixed or evergreen forests at 800–1600 m alt.
