DescriptionRhizome short, suberect, scaly; scales narrowly lanceolate, brownish, pubescent or glabrous. Stipes castaneous, polished, 20–50 cm long, glabrous with scaly base. Laminae oblong-lanceolate to deltoid-oblong, acuminate at apex, 12–40 by 9–25 cm, bipinnate-tripinnatifid; lateral pinnae 5–13 pairs, largest ones 5.4–18 by 2.6–7 cm, oblong-lanceolate, long acuminate at apex, with stalks 10–15 mm in length; ultimate segments oblong-lanceolate, about 4 mm broad, acute, wavy at margin; chartaceous, creamy farinose on lower surface of lamina. Sori terminal on veinlets, protected by reflexed marginal flaps. Distribution in ThailandNORTHERN: Nan, Lampang. Wider DistributionEndemic to Thailand. EcologyOn limestone cliffs at 350–500 m alt. Proposed IUCN Conservation AssessmentData Deficient (DD). There is considerable taxonomic confusion in the genus Cheilanthes making accurate conservation assessments of many of the species difficult.
