DescriptionRhizome long creeping, 3–5 mm diam.; scales concolorous brown, to 8 mm long, 1 mm wide. Stipe 20–40 cm long, sparsely long hairy, stramineous (or flushed red). Lamina bipinnatifid, narrowly ovate, 30–72 by 19–24 cm, with 24–30 pairs of pinnae; pinnae sessile, oblong, basal pair usually with a larger crenate acroscopic pinnule, apex acuminate to caudate, lobed to 1–2 mm from costa, 9–15 by 1.5–2.5 cm, base of pinna auricled at least at acroscopic side; 1 pair of basal veins anastomosing and with an excurrent vein to the sinus callous; underside of veins and laminar surface densely hairy with long, patent, pale hairs and yellow sessile glands; sori medial, sporangia with yellow sessile glands, indusia small, densely long-hairy .
