DescriptionRhizome short, covered with scales; scales oblong-ovate to subtriangular, rounded at base, gradually narrowing towards tailed apex, up to 15 by 4 mm, brown, darker in central portion, minutely lacerate at margin. Stipes stramineous, scaly throughout, 10–15 cm long. Laminae imparipinnate; lateral pinnae 6–9 pairs, stalked, oblong, falcate, auricled at anterior and cuneate at posterior bases, gradually narrowing to caudate apex, minutely dentate at margin up to the very apex, 4.5–7 by 2–2.4 cm, terminal pinna commonly subtriangular, up to 3 cm broad; coriaceous, glabrous, green, paler beneath; veins anastomosing to form 4–5 rows of areoles with included veinlets. Sori dorsal on included veinlets, round, 2–4 rows at each side of costa; indusia round-reniform, peltate , up to 7 mm diam. Distribution in ThailandEASTERN: Chaiyaphum. Wider DistributionJapan, S Korea, S.E. China, and Indochina. EcologyOn sandstone in shady river border in forest at about 600 m alt. Proposed IUCN Conservation AssessmentLeast Concern (LC). This species is widespread and not under any known threat.
