Malaya ed. 1, 2: 557, f. 328. 1955 [‘1954’]. DescriptionRhizome short, erect, bearing fronds in a tuft; scales dark brown, about 8 by 1.5 mm, entire. Stipes up to 50 cm long, stramineous, dark near base. Laminae oblong, about the same length as stipe, as broad as long, imparipinnate; lateral pinnae about 10 pairs, lower ones stalked, narrowly lanceolate, caudate-attenuate at apex, rounded at base, very shallowly crenate with toothed margin, up to 20 by 2.5 cm; terminal pinna up to 20 by 3 cm at broadest lobed basal portion or rarely larger, cuneate at base; softly chartaceous, glabrous; costa raised below, glabrous; veins pinnate, all free. Sori usually on basal anterior veinlets, often also on basal posterior ones, usually diplazioid; indusia pale brown, thin but firm, persistent . Distribution in ThailandNORTHERN: Phitsanulok; CENTRAL: Nakhon Nayok; SOUTH-EASTERN: Trat. Wider DistributionPeninsular Malaysia. EcologyOn rather dry ground near rivers in light shade at medium altitudes. Proposed IUCN Conservation AssessmentLeast Concern (LC). This species is widespread and not under any known threat. |
