DescriptionRhizome erect; scales dark brown, up to 15 by 1.2 mm, toothed. Stipes about 50 cm long, scaly below. Laminae subdeltoid, about 60 by 55 cm, bipinnate; lower pinnae oblong with acuminate apex, up to 30 by 15 cm; larger pinnules distinctly stalked, subtriangular, broadly cuneate at base, gradually narrowing towards acute apex, lobed 1/3 way to costule, up to 8 by 1.8 cm; lobes subquadrangular, moderately rounded to obtuse at apex, indistinctly serrate; softly papyraceous; dark green, paler beneath; veins pinnate, veinlets all simple. Sori oblong, usually along middle or posterior portion of veinlets, medial or submarginal. Distribution in ThailandCENTRAL: Nakhon Nayok. Wider DistributionN Vietnam and Taiwan to SW Japan. EcologyOn moist ground along rivers in light shade at about 800 m alt. Proposed IUCN Conservation AssessmentLeast Concern (LC). This species is widespread outside of Thailand and not under any known threat.
