Stipes 30–45 cm long, stramineous, scaly at base. Laminae deltoid, bipinnate, apex pinnatifid, to 50 cm long and 40 cm wide; basal pinnae the largest, 18–30 cm long, 9–15 cm wide. Pinnules sessile or lowermost very shortly stalked, 4.5–8 mm long, 1–1.5 cm wide, base truncate, apex acuminate, lobed almost to 1/2 way to costae; ultimate segments oblong, apex rounded. Sori short, medial on veinlets. Distribution in ThailandNORTH-EASTERN: Loei. Wider DistributionChina, Japan, Ryukyus, Taiwan. Proposed IUCN Conservation AssessmentLeast Concern (LC). This species is widespread outside of Thailand and not under any known threat.
