Description

Rhizome creeping or upwards climbing, long, rather flat, 1.2–8 mm in breadth, scaly; scales pseudopeltate, oblong-subtriangular, gradually narrowing towards long-tailed apex, 1.2–7 by 0.3–2 mm, dark brown, clathrate with smaller cells, irregular at margin. Fronds simple, dimorphic or not. Stipes 2–20(–46) cm long, narrowly winged in upper half, indistinct in sterile fronds. Sterile laminae oblong-lanceolate, acuminate at apex, gradually narrowing downwards and decurrent nearly towards the base of stipes, 11–40(–60) by 2–6(–13) cm. Fertile laminae oblong with shortly acuminate apex, cuneate at base, 4–25 by 0.3–8 cm; main lateral veins distinctly raised, dark, the other veins distinct, forming usually two rows of areoles between adjacent main veins; herbaceous, dark green, dark brown in dried condition. Sori extending from midrib nearly to the margin of laminae, occasionally broken. Spores monolete .

PENINSULAR: Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat.

Ecology

On muddy rocks along streams in dense forests at 400–650 m alt.
