Stipes 25–50 cm long, greenish, with minute glandular hairs; lamina up to 50 cm long, long-ovate, tri- to quadripinnate, thinly herbaceous; ultimate pinnules elliptic, acute at apex, often bearing axillary buds on the upper side of the rachis; veins free. Sori terminal or nearly so on veinlets, small, round, exindusiate . Distribution in ThailandNORTH-EASTERN: Loei. Wider DistributionHimalayas to Taiwan, S China & Indochina. EcologyOn rocky ground in dense humid forest. Proposed IUCN Conservation AssessmentLeast Concern (LC). This species is widespread outside of Thailand and not under any known threat.
