Description

Rhizome short, creeping, or ascending, bearing fronds in a tuft, scaly; scales narrow, gradually narrowing towards apex, 2.5 by 0.3 mm, pale brown, thin. Stipes winged to base or 0.1–0.6(–1.5) cm long, densely short pubescent with caducous pubescence. Laminae linear, linear-elliptic or linear-oblanceolate, usually round or moderately acute at apex, sometimes slightly emarginate, 4.9–16 x 0.2–0.6 cm, gradually narrowing downwards and decurrent into wings of stipes, margin entire or sinuate; veins forked, the ends not reaching the margin, ending in hydathodes on upper surface, thin but firm, glabrous or sparsely short-hairy. Sori superficial or in shallow depressions, rounded to oblong, usually discrete but sometimes becoming confluent at maturity (and so appearing linear ).

Distribution in Thailand

PENINSULAR: Phangnga, Trang.

Wider Distribution

Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, throughout Malesia to the Pacific Islands.

Ecology

On tree trunks in evergreen forests at about 900 m.

Proposed IUCN Conservation Assessment

Least Concern (LC). This species is widespread outside of Thailand and not under any known threat.
